Barcelona's code name is not K10

So many people were trying to guess the correct code name for the AMD's coming Barcelona processor. INQ (and later those fanbois Sharikou, Scientia and alikes) wished to call it K10. Well, it is not K10.

Guess what, K10 is still under development, so it can't be K10. K9 is just a bad name.

Again, Barcelona's code name 'is not' K10, period.

p/s: K8L is more likely referring to Barcelona

isn't it "10h"?

In any event it's just arbitrary - AMD (I think) said that K8l, which was the initial mistaken codename for Barcelona architecture) was the dual core version of K8...

Either way it just makes it seem like AMD is actually doing more than they are.

It really doesn't matter especially as we now have a really cool logo launched! At least the logo launch was on time?!?

yes, I know it is no that important. It was just that at the time, the code name was kinda heated up and i was informed by my friend who actually design the very chip in AMD that they used to refer it as K8L in some limitted foils and never heard of K10 ...

well it is not important. What's important is people commenting on this blog :) Just realized roborat64 just put a link this this blog.

Just yet another not important notice, i won;t post blog often, but surely will have at least a few post within a year :).
